Thinking…

As a new day dawns,  new hope springs eternal. Many things in life cannot be explained and some will always remain unexplainable. I do not wish to crack my beautiful head over a few things that I cannot find any reason for now, just that maybe they happened for a reason, whatever that be.

For now, life goes on and I shall appreciate whatever comes my way: small miracles -no traffic on a Monday, amazing results in a test taken, words of encouragement from a friend not heard from for the longest time! But most of all, the gift of life and love and the capacity to share these with others. Thank you Lord!

Count Your Blessings!

Great miracles come from small tragedies. Looking back at some tragedies ( who does not have any?) I’ve had in my life, I realize there were always great and small miracles that buffeted them, cushioning my hurt to a point where the blessings overwhelmed the tragedies!

Great day!

A new day dawns

Hello Morning

A chilly January morning. Hugging my robe for some warmth, I fumbled for my slippers under the bed. My daughter is sound asleep so with little, careful steps, I tiptoed towards the window . It was still dark outside but I could see the beginnings of sunrise. Facing the east, I took a deep breath and uttered a prayer of thanks. I could feel a   surge of warmth slowly enveloping my whole body.  A sweet feeling of comfort. It’s a great day! Thank God for this day!

Life’s lessons

He ain’t heavy; He’s My Brother…

My favorite quote.  Just this morning, around 9:20 am, I was chatting with a dear friend about life and how we dearly value it especially when we fought hard for it. Makes me think of all those experiences I underwent, and still undergoing. He told me about how, as a young boy of thirteen, he had to work for his family, and how this has taught him the value of work and honest living. I cannot say more. He is a wonderful philanthropist who believes that a good turn deserves another. To him, anyone in need isn’t heavy; and he will help until it hurts. Honestly, I am inspired!

The Lord is my shepherd. I have felt the hand of the Lord in my life through people I have known, worked with, laughed with, chatted with, shared light and sad moments with. Life is never easy but knowing that God is on your side surely lightens up your load! When the going gets rough, the tough gets going ( the name of  the author of the book with the same title escapes me now). But toughening up is one tough job. And like any recipe with a secret ingredient, it’s putting in a lot of trust, a dash of patience, and a whole lot of love from the Lord that completes it.

And then, there are my friends who I cannot thank  enough, who through thick and thin, are here for me.You know who you are. Just having been given the chance to be your friend  is a wonderful blessing!
